For the tenth year in a row NetApp (NASDAQ: NTAP) Australia has ranked within the top ten of the well-known Best Places to Work Study. Now in its tenth year since inception in 2008, NetApp is the only organisation to feature in the study every year, and be placed within the top ten. This recognition is testament to NetApp’s employees, and the role they play in creating one of Australia’s leading workplace cultures.
“We’re incredibly proud to be the only company to rank in the top ten every year since the study began a decade ago. It validates our consistent focus on making NetApp one of the best places to work in Australia, and all of our employees, partners and clients, should celebrate this significant milestone,” said Glenn McPherson, Managing Director, NetApp Australia and New Zealand.
Widely acclaimed and cited by employers and employees alike, Australia’s Best Place to Work study is one of the world’s most comprehensive studies of workplace culture. As part of the study, internal employees complete a survey, helping to determine where the organisation is ranked. NetApp’s year on year success within the top ten illustrates the high level of employee engagement, and why the organisation continues to flourish in today’s fast-changing business environment.
“This is an exciting, transformative and competitive time for companies,” said Zrinka Lovrencic, MD of Great Place to Work Australia. “With a services sector heavy economy, employers now need to make a greater effort to improve their workplace cultures in order to retain employees. This competitive pressure benefits everyone, as all workplaces can increase their levels of employee engagement. The companies that have made the 2017 study have risen to this challenge and exemplify workplace culture excellence.”
In addition to its leadership position in the technology industry, NetApp employees also find time to give back to the community. Amongst many existing initiatives, and to mark NetApp’s 25th anniversary, the company has launched a new ambitious global volunteer program called Food for Hunger. This program pledges 25,000 paid volunteer hours to food organisations by the end of 2017 and employees are also actively encouraged to use their five paid volunteer days per year, to contribute to a charity of their choice.
